Annual G3 pressurised vessel service

To comply with G3 Building Regulations it is advisable to have the unvented parts of your system inspected every year. In addition to G3 building regulations you might find your Household Insurer may not pay out on a leak from a pressurised system which has not been annually maintained or is up to G3 current regulations. The unvented system includes all pressurised hot water tanks and safety pressure relief components, but not your heat pump.

We at Eartheat have now been installing heatpump systems for a number of years and we have been approached by customers asking for inspection and servicing help. In order to address this emerging need Eartheat now provide a heat pump system inspection and service. This service is provided at three levels to satisfy different requirements.

Level 1 G3 inspection This is a 1-2 hr site visit inspecting the 8 safety components of a heating system relating to the G3 regulations.

(The G3 regulation is designed to prevent hot water cylinders getting to temperatures over 100°C and high pressure). As regulations are amended and components become blocked or suffer fatigue, systems need to be inspected and components serviced or replaced if required. On completion of this service you will be provided with a service report identifying all components checked any G3 works required. If time allows and appropriate, any minor works can be completed on the day but may incur a nominal additional cost.

Level 2 G3 and Heat Pump performance inspection

We are very happy to offer the G3 inspection service alone but we feel it would be an excellent idea to check your Heat Pumps performance to ensure it is still operating efficiently. This 2-3 hour, 33 point check, site visit will not only prolong the life of your Heat Pump but also save you money if your system is not running efficiently. In addition to the G3 inspection, Level 2 measures the performance of the heat pump against recommended settings, tests the functions of components, fluid properties of the brine and heating systems, filters and insulation and remote pump controls. On completion a service report is provided recording all inspection data and recommended improvements. If appropriate to the customers needs, minor system changes can be made, within time limits to improve performance but more significant work may require a re-visit.

Level 3 G3, Heat Pump and heating delivery system inspection

In addition to the G3 and Heat Pump service, we can check your heat deliver system, which is the underfloor heating and/or radiator heating system, to ensure your heat is being delivered correctly. At 3-4 hours, Level 3 inspections, includes a discussion with the householder on any areas of the property where heating has been identified as a problem. Flow and return temperature and rate measurements are taken, where possible. On completion, a service report detailing the findings is available for agreeing any further action if required. Again minor changes can be made if time and costs allow but more significant changes will require further works at a later stage.

Following our site visit, and on receipt of payment we will provide you with a detailed and comprehensive record of the service carried out and alert you to any problems we may find. In the unlikely event we find any component failure, we will alert you or if under warranty, your parts manufacturer to any work required or provide you with a quotation for any work outside of warranty.

Our inspection and servicing is carried out on Mondays and Fridays of every week as we endeavour to do two visits per day in an area to minimise the travel costs and do our bit for reducing CO2.

Our inspection/service times are:- Mornings between 8am and 12pm and Afternoons between 1pm and 5pm.**

Any emergency call outs required, will incur outward and return journey travel costs including travel time plus a call out charge equal to the first hour on site.

To reduce this exposure Eartheat offer a Customer Service Agreement which will save you the call out charge in an emergency.  We ask you to set up a Direct Debit scheme after your first inspection/service has been completed equal to our anticipated cost of your next service, and split over 10 months.

If you are interested in setting up a service agreement please contact Eartheat offices on telephone number 0845 618 7113 and we can send out all of the relevant documentation for you to sign and return to ourselves. Once we have inspected and serviced your system for the first time and your first full payment has been received we will confirm the cost of your next annual service, confirm the Direct Debit amount and this service agreement will allow you an emergency callout visit without incurring a callout charge.

* Eartheat Ltd endeavour to cut the costs of travel to yourself so that we will only charge you for one way travel, subject to agreement that we can get another service in your area on the same day, otherwise it will be full travel costs.

** We will need access at 8am for morning callouts and 1pm for afternoon callouts any waiting time will be at a cost to you.
